I know things are a little funny in IE, Shari had a headache with it, I had a headache with it. Still can’t find all the solutions (apart from telling you all to stop using IE *shakes fist*). We’re also debating whether to keep using VBulletin as our forum or not. We kind of liked that Vanilla forum, but it’s still in beta and we still need it to have plugins for certain features we’d like to use. The nice thing about it is that it’s very clean and simple. We like clean and simple. I showered just 10 minutes ago! I just.. where was I going with this?

Our most recent commission has a 20 page sample online now. Go look see. It’s called ‘The Healing‘ as oposed to the original title of ‘Jinn’, due to someone else using it in the anthology it’s being printed in. What are the odds eh? eh? Once it’s available for sale we’ll post a link up to where you can buy it. ‘Cos we know how much you love to spend money on worthwhile things. It’d be a crime not to.

Oh and for those who’ve mailed us asking about ‘The Clarence Principle‘, I have a secret and I don’t want to share it! Bwahahahaha!!

this is pretty much done, except for a few details like on nav top and links at bottom, but that can wait till Fred go back to UK.

we are on vacation now! after a LONG month of heavy-duty comic drawing.

I still have to fix a few things for this comic (Jinn) before sending it off, but nothing major, we will post previews here later.

After that we’ll be working on Tokyopop proposal, one more try.

Then Finish new issue of Co_OKiE..

Then continue working on Clarence..

My schedule is full till next year, but non of them made me a million! dammit.

my dear friend already bastardize this comic, and it haven’t even gone to print yet XD

40 pages. All of them.

I finished it two days ago, putting together both PDF version for printing and web version is way more exhausting than drawing the comic itself T_T I wish I could use photoshop batch thingy, but I have bad memories about it, it locked up my pc and I can’t do anything except format. yeah, no batch conversion for me.

I really want more people to read this one, but I’m not sure how to go around promoting it *sigh*

It took me 3 months to find out how to really make WP works for this site the way I REALLY REALLY wanted. The problem with the walkaround I used in order to have separate main page and blog page is the ugly URL, because the blog page is actually the category archive page, the URL became sixkillerbunnies.com/cat/blog, /cat being taxonomy for category archive page (WP don’t let you do without, pfft) and /blog being the main category name. I thought I could live with it, but obviously I can’t.

what I really wanted was for that page URL to be sixkillerbunnies.com/blog. I also know that (almost) nothing simple htaccess couldn’t do. Problem was that I never really get around learning it properly, I just guess how it works and then tinker with it (kids, don’t do this at home).

so what I did, to make sixkillerbunnies.com/cat/blog (aka ugly URL) becomes sixkillerbunnies.com/blog (aka pretty URL) , is that, first, I changed taxonomy for category archive page to ‘blog’ then I changed main category name from ‘blog’ to ‘category’ (yes, category named category :D). This way, URL for other category archives also become something pretty like ‘/blog/category/news’ etc. The last step (actually the only step :D) is to edit .htaccess so sixkillerbunnies.com/blog point to the right category archives.

There’s one problem, page navigation for blog page now doesn’t work, but, well, I’m happy with this now, Fred gonna have to fix that later :D

the problem was that fred wanted the index page to be clean, but I wanted a full blown blog page, you know, with lots of nonsense shitty links on the side and lots and lots of fun-but-useless plugin installed.

so, the trick is to create one category (in my case ‘blog’) and have every other category under it, that’s all, you dont even have to post in that main category, since the category page will also display posts from its child categories, very nifty. after that, all you have to do is create template for blog category to mimic the normal index blog page, and there you go :D

Ok, so we’re easily bored and we like change. Especially if it’s a fun change! Darkroom Fiction got old after using it for 2 years and Shari never liked it much anyway. She found it too formal. I wanted it to be formal, that was the point. But I too was starting to feel that the name and the site theme was starting to get a bit stale.

After all, we’re not about formal. We’re about twisted silly fun! It’s what we do best.
