Anyway I actually enjoy the episodes I occasionally get to watch, and P.A. has been getting rave reviews. About it being an acquired taste is more than true, but I think it is more known and easily embraced than shows like boogiepop, Lain, or betterman. Actually boogiepop is one of my favorite anime; the fact that each of the people somehow are minisculy connected was interesting to me. I liked it but didn't love it for various reasons, but we can discuss that later. But I know I enjoyed the opening and ending tracks and bought the soundtrack, so if you want it... FLCL is c-r-a-c-k. Before I ever saw it friends would tell me it's something you don't really try to understand or explain. Just watch it. And even after seeing it and reading up on it a bit it's still a WTF anime, though not in a bad way. I don't think it is supposed to be anything deep or particularly meaningful though -- in fact they make fun of the over analysis of Eva in it don't they? I personally think the creators were more concerned with having fun and trying new things out. I liked Perfect Blue a bit more than Millennium Princess from what I remember; it was a while back though, and I can't recall too much about the latter. FLCL/fooly cooly/Furi Kuri is my fav anime and manga, i have both anime and manga because the story is different in some places witht he manga then to the anime. but otherwise its one of my favorite animes. it sites high up on my shelf along with my platinum box set of Neon Genesis Evangelion (another of my fav's) i'll check out Paranoia agent sometime. ~Riku~ looks funky!
