Just ordered myself a Creative Audigy Soundcard (OEM version, fairly cheap at £16). I was investigating as to why my PC kept recording so much hissing and electric interference when I did my last ODEO blog. Turns out the onboard soundcard on my PC is quite shit and I just never noticed before. When I tested recording on my sisters PC (she has my old Creative Live! Soundcard) it was very sharp.

So my mic. isn’t as crap as I thought it was, it was just the oboard souncard. Goes to show, onboard stuff is still awful, even today. Shame really.
