Today, I have discovered that this little girl has been SO typecast as the ‘creepy girl’. Some of you may recognise her from her most recent role as Sharon DaSilva/Alessa Gillespie from the movie Silent Hill. Now, here’s how my little discovery came about.

Me and kelsie were discussing old TV shows, such as the remake of Outter Limits and a show called Darkroom, which then lead on to shows like Tales from the Crypt and Monsters from the 80’s. I started thinking “they don’t make shows like that anymore.” not in an old man tone, shaddap! I mean, when’s the last time you saw a show like the Twilight Zone?

Well, I suddenly remembered that BBC2 had a show, a mini series, that was written by Stephen King (based on the cult Danish miniseries) a while back. After some digging around, I found it. Kingdom Hospital. “It’s dark and spooky, but you’ll also have some tremendous belly laughs,” says Executive Producer Mark Carliner[…]. It features a little ghost girl amongst a host of other things. Guess who’s playing the part of the girl? Yep, our little Jodelle Ferland.

So I do some IMDB digging into her name and then I find that I’ve seen her before, yet again. Where? An episode of Smallville (again, shaddap! it’s an ok show from time to time) and she happened to be in it as this little ‘ghost girl’ (who we later find out isn’t actually a ghost, but a clone with super speed and no morals and yadda yadda yadda, but everyone thinks she’s a ghost for a while).

She was also in a show called Dead Like Me, about people who die with unresolved issues, so they have to become grim reapers. Go to the site, it sounds like an interesting show. She was also in an episode of a shows such as ‘Supernatural - ep title: Provenance‘, ‘Stargate SG1 - ep title: Flesh and Blood‘, ‘The Collector - ep title: The Prosecuter‘ (in the collector, she’s playing the part of The Devil/Little Girl), and many more interesting titles.

I just found that interesting, that’s all. I have a ‘thing’ when it comes to ghost girls. They scare me o_o;
