Hit or Miss?

We’ve been trying to come up with a new cover idea for The Clarence Principle. The original cover got mixed reviews. A little too mixed.
Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been drawn to try the idea to your right there (click for bigger version) which Shari just finished earlier today. Shari said it has like a movie preview feel to it. That’s what I was going for. Trying to get people intrigued by the story before they’ve even touched the book. We like it. What do you guys think?
I’ve already gotten two people tell me that it’s not a good idea at all. Another miss?

Nice. It does have a movie-preview feel to it, but I, personaly, don’t like it as a cover, more like a promotional advertising thingamagingy. I like my covers more with one whole image or, if a colage, a colage with a foreground of something relevant to the tale. Still it is a very nice advertisement for the book.
when is the rest of it coming out i want to see it………..ALOT!
